My acer lcd gets faint horizontal lines in it once in a while..Interference maybe? Any ideas?

yes, the lines are moving, once in a while they will...flare up. Especially noticable when screen is dark.

I know what your taking about, I have seen it before. It sounds like your monitor needs to be replaced. Try to RMA or warranty it.

Are the horizontal lines moving? If they are, this is known as a ground loop issue. Your monitor is getting power or noise from your power lines. Plug your computer and monitor to a higher quality surge protector.

If you were experiencing this issue all the time, then I would suggest try using another monitor cable.
