I have a small betta zoo here. Currently have 6 breeding pairs *single ray crowntail cobalt, double ray crowntail mustard gas (which spawned just this afternoon) and four halfmoon pairs.

a million. i might propose a college of small fish alongside with harlequin rasboras. I shop six rasboras with my male betta in a 10 gallon tank alongside with 4 ghost shrimp and a pair snails. 2. No fish will eat crap. There are fish which will eat algae or the foodstuff that settles on the backside, yet no longer the waste. you ought to be making use of a gravel siphon to hoover the substrate weekly for that.

I don't, but I want one! I want to get a male. They're so beautiful! The females are kinda boring, don't you think?
The only thing that sucks about the males, is that you can't have more then on in a single tank, because they'll fight to the death over the tank.
Have you heard about that experiment, I think, in japan?? They took 2 males, and put them in a huge lake, and they tracked them. Well a few days later they found each other in the middle, and killed each other over the entire lake!!
Typical male! Always having to have the biggest and most! LOL

I have fifteen males all in one tank! I made seperate cubicles out of plexiglass that i drilled holes in and used aquarium glue to hold them in place. Betta's are much more interesting to watch and enjoy that way. You get to see their full colors. They change due to tempermante. They have gotten together by mistake a few times but no deaths, just torn fins.
