Usually between 3 and 5 days, sometimes longer, but then it's usually turned yellow and green or purple by then.

I'm a boxer, I've fought for 9 years and im 15, but it'll take a week before it starts to go away, a month to dissapear

Swelling should go down after a few days, but then the bruise will take about a couple of weeks before it goes away.

It'll look worse before it gets better :-(

Did you get this the night of your graduation in Provo? If it is really bad it can take a few weeks. I had a minor one and it was gone in about a week.

For it to be fully gone....even the purpleness that turns to a really wierd colour -> 2 weeks.
