First of all, sorry that this has happened to you. The reason you are having images in your head is because your feelings are hurt and you are possibly feeling inadequate as a partner. It's human nature to think "what's wrong with me, why don't they want to be with me" so you begin to focus possibly on something that you are unsure of (maybe your sexual performance) or you may be thinking about this because it is the most painful image and my help you heal faster. My advice to you, my friend, is to end any sort of contact with your girlfriend and attempt to move on. It is easier for me to say but I have been in your shoes and the only thing that helped me was space and time. Everyday I obsessed about the same thing and wanted it to go away but the only thing that really helped was support of friends and ending any contact and relying on friends. Good luck!

You're right... cheating on her is not the answer. You need to deal with it in one of 2 ways: Break it off or confront her about your feelings and work it out. Once you've been betrayed it is very hard to trust again. Try to be honest with yourself about where you stand on that. Can you forgive this? Only you will know. If you can't, then end it for both your sakes.
