Never, as an American Indian, I say look at our treaties, they broke everyone of them, in fact the only promise they ever kept was to take our land. Our farmers of the consitution did not trust government, read what jefferson said about government, or the federalist papers. If you trust the governemnt then you are prone to sacrifice some liberities in the name of security soon you have neither.

Are you an American Citizen or one of those descriptors you used above? Would you be surprise to know that the American People ARE the American Government!

Would it surprise you to know that the morals of the officials in office are a reflection of the morals of America?

Have you written to any elected official and stated your feelings position? Have you asked anyone else to do so?

Would you rather be an Iran Citizen, have more trust in that government?

No. Never trust a bureaucratic organization. It exists to perpetuate its own existence. Its goals will never be altruistic. You cannot trust an entity that has something to lose by telling the truth.
