One of my cats is very expressive nonverbally. She has a way of looking interested in a person and watching their movement as if she is keenly interested and communicating with that person. Tonight I was sitting on the couch and she started looking behind me as if she was looking into someone's eyes. We were alone. She did the eye interaction as if someone walked from the hall into the living room beside me. Watching the entire communication with thin air as if someone was present was very odd. Although I have felt a presence in this house a few times and the day before though I glimpsed something out of the corner of my eye, I didn't feel or see anything tonight. Can someone give me a logical explanation why this cat would do this? She was very relaxed through the entire process.

yes cats do see things, we had to have a very intelligent 4 month old kitten put to sleep because of kidney failure and seziures. the next day rick got a new black cat almost the same size, that evening he looked into the kitchen like he could see something that we couldnt, and the white cat saw it too. the next day he started doing things very much like the dead kitten did, like picking up his toys and putting them back into the basket. not a really average cat trait, the next night they both reacted to the kitchen as they had the first night, and then the black kitten did more things that the first black kitten had, after that they have never looked into the kitchen like they saw something i couldnt see. so i guess spooky the first imparted to spooky too all the information he thought he should have to live here and then he moved on. and spooky too acts so much like spooky the first its really uncanny. dusty took to him as though he was his original companion with no fussing at all. rather unusual with cats who are very territorial.

I don't know about all animals, but I definitely believe that cats can sense ghosts or whatever. Cats have very good hearing.

I once lived in a house that I thought was haunted, but tried to tell myself that I was imagining things. I would think that I heard noises coming from an extra bedroom. Then I would look at my cat. His ears were perked and would go towards the bedroom. I knew then that it was not my imagination.

Anytime that I would get scared, I would look at my cat and sure enough he sensed something to. One night in bed, my cat stood up on his back legs out of nowhere and looked like he was looking at something in the bedroom. I was freaked out. He obviously was looking at something.

I got out of that house soon afterwards. I would always trust a cat when he looks like he sees or hears something, even if we do not.

animals are believed to be able to see htings humens can not. i was reading up true ghost stories and most the stories had something to do with a pet/animal. like they knew where to find the missing person wh o was really dead or jumped out a windiow cause it got so scared as if there was something there, and in that story it said the owner indents in the dogs fur as if something.someone was poking but he didn't see anyone or anything else.try looking up information on ghosts, also take your cat to the vet for a checkup, your cat could just be going crazy.

Wow, that's really weird because my cat did the same thing tonight. She was chilling on my lap, then all of a sudden she was looking at something behind me, at the other side of the room..just stared for a long time. I really do feel the animals see something that we don't...What other explanation is there? Animals are purely instinct. They don't just look like they are looking at something...they can't lie like humans...They have to be looking at something; they would have no purpose to do so unless there was something there. Animals can't be fake.

Animals can see ghost/spirits. Your house may be haunted. Or someone from the other side may just be stopping by to visit you and just check in on you. This person may be a family member (you may not even know the family member) or friend. In this I mean the family member/ friend is in heaven and wants to visit. Or it may be your spirit guide.

Cats, unlike humans, do not close their minds to Spiritual contact.
That is why cats are considered familiars.
Dogs, rats. owls, and almost every other animal on earth can see the spirit realm or feel it.
The only reason we don't see it is that beliefs have closed our spirit eye. we simply don't look

Animals are very sensitive to spirits. We have a few ghosts in the house. I can hear them & the dogs can hear them. They also act differently if there's something evil. They growl, hair stands up, etc. ....or act very scared.

Yes, I think they sense shifts in energy that humans can't sense.
