President Bush is halfway through his second term. I don't believe that he needs to "save" his presidency.
President Bush could not legalize marijuana personally, please take a course in US civics.
Have a great day

Yes, in my opinion, he can uses the money that our country hires DEA around the world to protect drug smugglers, and Marijuana growers across the borders as well as make the Mexican and South America mafias out of business. Then no one buy any marijuana from Afghanistan,Thailand South America and etc. Meanwhile, the War lords who sell weapons are nearly out of business. Because, not many countries buy the weapons for protect drug smugglers in and out of their countries. Meanwhile, the Prisoner guards are out of business. I heard recently from the News that some of them makes more than The Governor of my State. I never use drug and I have no interest to earn any penny from. I can see how much money that we spend to make our citizens better. 3 /4 prisoners in jail are drug related charged. Our citizens of the World will be better of with these free drugs, marijuana and opium. No one sell and No one buys. May be these money we save can pay for our 3 trillion dollars that we are paying for Iraq war. The President does not need to be save and his term will be done in 2008. But I doubt that it never happens in my life time. Thank you for asking the Common Sense question and I am so honor to answer it.

Maybe, maybe not. But either way, would you care? I mean, if his presidency isn't saved, well his situation is entirely his own fault, so who cares!? But even if such a move would save it, perhaps marijuana's most prominent effect is apathy. So, again, who cares?!

He couldn't legalize cannabis and keep his base. Even if he did so, that's not nearly enough of a turn-around in his policies to make up for the unbelievably gigantic flustercluck his administration has caused for We the People.

So many Liberals would keel over from shock that it would decimate his opposition. But then, it would alienate many in his core support, so in the end it would be a wash.
