What should I wear on my cruise?

I have a black satin pencil dress for one formal night, I need another idea, also what's good for "smart casual" night? How dressy should I go? It's a Mexican Riviera cruise over New Year's Eve.

I've been on plenty of cruises and for formal night colorful cocktail dresses tend to fit the occasion. A floor length dress may be a bit too much, though you can go with that as well. For "smart casual" you should go for a flowy knee length skirt or pencil skirt and a nice blouse. As for the rest of the cruise, I'd steer away from anything too casual. On the boat, you can go all day wearing nice, dressy clothing and fit in nicely. It makes you feel more fabulous, confident, and you can have more fun lloking beautiful!

I've been on several cruises. You see all types. Long gowns, short cocktail dresses as well as pant suits. I would wear anything that makes you feel beautiful. Usually, I wear one long formal gown and one cocktail (knee length) dressy dress. Smart casual night? Black pants with any shirt. When you feel good, you look good.
