It is impossible to make a voice call and use the internet over the same line at the same time. You need to have two separate phone lines for that, or get DSL.

You can have multiple devices plugged in to a multiplexer (may be the term you are looking for) but it doesn't make them work at the same time, it just lets them all connect to a single wall-jack.

There is a device that allows you to be on the web and the suspend your web surfing when an incomming call comes in, but you cant do the two at the same time on dialup. the modem or the phone can control the line, but not both at the same time...

Oh, I dont know the devices namr but there is software that does the same thing. Look at http://www.tomdownload.com/internet/dial_up_connectivity/phonetray_dialup.htm

Yeah you need separate phone lines. I did that when I had dial up. They charged me $200 + for the installation of the phone line and then I had to pay an additional $8 + per month for the local connection. Get cable. You'll be better off.

I think the device you're looking for is called catch-a-call, but why dial-up?
