That you didn't actually do anything important for people to remember you

I feel like I was just there because there was an empty seat and it had to be taken by somebody.

I feel like I was just one of those guys like in TV where they're just in the back lip talking with somebody, next to lockers and nobody even notices them.

Did any of you guys felt like this after you graduated?

If you felt that you were a "nobody" in high school, you must have conditioned yourself to feel and act that way. Nobody is a "nobody" unless he or she wants it that way. You could have contributed something valuable, if not to others, to yourself. But you either were lazy, didn't give a damn, or didn't try hard enough. Maybe it was a combination of all three. Or in your words, "Just taking up space". I hate to tell you this, but you missed out on one of life's most gratifying experiences -- getting an education that would prepare you for your life's work, and meeting and forming quality friendships that would have given you a social life, or participating in sports, drama, debate, ROTC, or other extracurricular activities. I'm even surprised that you graduated when your high school life was no more gratifying or stimulating than a wisp of smoke. Life is what you make it, and with your defeatist attitude it doesn't sound like you're going to get much out of life despite the fact that you have a lot of years ahead of you. So you'd better shape up, my friend, and realize that you have potential to start enjoying life and developing your skills and attributes. Otherwise, you'll spend all your time in the woodwork.

Who really cares about high school. In the grand scheme of things it is only 4 years of your life. I went to my 20 year reunion and all those popular kids were nobodies, drunks, overweight, etc.
Have a successful life and be happy. Don't worry about High School, it's a joke as far as a social experience.
I was popular in college and did not care, just wanted good grades. Get good grades and work hard everything else falls into place.
