Why the 'obsession'? Which part of it is untimely? The fact that the story was hushed, the fact that Ford Died last night, or the fact that the Iraq war is an ongoing mistake?

I think because he just died and none of this has been brought up until now it's just not nice. I mean if people had all these issues with Ford all along and I haven't been seeing them until now let the man rest is peace. It's over with, he can't undo anything he's said or done so if we can remember some of the good things he did it's much more respectful at this time. Maybe later on if it's really all that important but not now.

No, I think that this story shows that Gerald Ford had more wisdom than a lot of people ever gave him credit for.

No .He was entitled to his opinion. Today is not the world of thirty years ago.Bush isn't going to wait around for others to attack us again . We sat around and did nothing all during the nineties after attack after attack over and over again. Bush stood up and said enough is enough and we are not going to take this crap anymore.
