Sex is not at all necessary but if u get a chance u cant even resist from having it.I suppose u have never had sex else u would have never asked this ques.

I think it is. Without sex my children never would have been born, my husband and I wouldn't be as close, and there wouldn't be a lot of happy men out there (no offense to any guys). I think sex has been given a bad rep as soooooo sexy and tempting/evil. Sex is much more than that. It's something that shows love... I don't know what you were looking for in an answer but I tried. No, it is not necessary. I have been celibate for 9 years and I feel alot of relief about it. I have not met a man that I feel is worth the time and trouble and I will not have sex until I do so.

Yes of course. Because outlet of sexual energy is a must. otherwise it can ruin our nervous system. Just think why our parents and society just give so much importance to marriage. People gain confidence, gain health after experiencing sex. Regular sex eases tensions and you sleep soundly. But remember sex must always be legal, otherwise it can create a bundle of problems...

For procreation: Not anymore. There is artificial insemenation
For heath: No, nuns and priests can live long healty lives.
However, it does provide a lot of pleasure.

It obviously is b/c the human race would just end without it. On a different note, sex is a normal human act, just like breathing or eating, not matter how much people (Christians) want to surpress it.

Well if your looking at getting pregnant (seeings how your posting in the pregnancy section I presume that's why your asking) It is possible to get pregnant without sex, through IVF or using a turkey baster and a sperm donor, but sex is a much more fun alternative!

It is necessary for reproductive purposes. If humans stopped having sexual intercourse, the human race would become extinct. However, any sexual act other than intercourse is not necessary, but participated in for physical pleasure.
