New Years Eve will have parties and lots of Free stuff. On New Years Day, you dont really do much. have Fun!

Traffic as in cars? Has nothing to do with it really. Basically, if you don't mind an insane amount of crowds and going on only 3 rides in a whole day/night there, then go for it!
Honestly, I used to work at Disneyland Resort (Stores/Merch.) and New Years Eve was possibly THE most crowded day of the year. However, since I got in for free, the years I didn't work New Years Eve, I went as a guest in the park to play...and it's really ALOT of fun when it's free. =P
New Years DAY actually wasn't ever so bad, crowd-wise. Maybe it just seemed that way after seeing it SO insanely crowded the night before, but it actually always seemed to me to be a more calm day.

Unless I had reservations at the Disneyland Hotel, or one nearby, I would not go New years Eve or Day! Freeways, drunks, even more chance of drunk idiots in the park! Like dinner out on New Years, it's always twice as expensive as normal, smaller portions, cold and the Servers are stressed and over worked so you don't get the service you would normally receive and they run out of whatever you had your heart set on! Holidays are not the best bet for public attractions.

I have been on New Years Eve, it is crowded, but it is a lot of fun counting down with the thousands of people and then watching an awesome firework show that only disney can deliver!!

New Year day. You can enjoy the whole day and have fun at those awesome rides! Don't forget to ride- Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.. and then, you can see the lovely awesome fireworks special that disney does on the first day of the year... Even i am going on the New year day... hope we meet there!

i think on New Years Eve because there is thousands of people counting down how many seconds there is 'till New Years Day. On the other hand there is too many people waiting in line.

I'm going on new years eve....The festivities are going to be great...truly something for all ages. New years day I have to go cheer the razorbacks on to victory over the wisconsin badgers in the capitol one bowl!! GO HOGS!!!
