If you have never done a brake before take it to the shop. You have to know what you are doing. You have to change the part then you have to BLEED the air out of the system. You could loose the brakes either in the from or rear of the car if you do not do this properly. The caliper or brake cylinder could explode and loose all of the fluid, and cause you to get into an accident and it will cost you a ton of money to get brakes fixed after the thing explodes. And the $15.00 sounds right for the hose.

Most are no expensive, Depends if it is a Rubber Hose or a Metal Line. The rubber ones are not very expensive, However the metal lnes can cost a bit more. The problem is, the parts are cheap, but now you will have to flush and bleed your whole brake system to make it dependable again, and that can cost two to three times the price of the parts.

Then pull out all the fuses. you would be waiting to tell if a fuse is blown by finding in the process the plastic on the steel strip interior. If the steel strip is broken, black, or looks to seem something distinctive than suited. replace it. it could't be a fuse yet your brake mild sensor. detect your brake pedal and carry on with it. Theres a small steel device that has a spring variety mechanism that truly relays the strain of the pedal to the rear-brake wiring on your back lights. they have a tendency to bypass out on Fords.
