Not sure I understand your question as you are already on the Internet by virtue of your being able to post your question right here. So I might ask you, How did you get here in the first place. I have to assume that you are using someone else's computer and not your own. You can ask that person how he/she was able to get on line. There are so many ways. You can connect via a CD disc. AOL gives those away for free. You can call up your local cable company and tell them you want to connect and they will come to your house and bring you a cable modem. Ditto for DSL. Call your telephone company and they will be happy to oblige. Check your local ISP's (Internet Service Providers in the telephone book) and they will give you instructions over the phone on how to set up an Internet Connection.

Go to the yahoo main page and look there. You can sign up there for like $14.95 a month I believe. They will send you a dsl modem and software in the mail within two weeks or so.

They don't have software for windows 95,98,ME. Only 2000 and XP. I know, because I tried. My friend needed a copy for win98se. Oh bother!

you don't need software you should receive hardware in the mail from your provider
