Ghost shrimp have such tiny claws that only fry would be in danger of being caught by them. Anything bigger than 1/4 of an inch is safe. But be careful as occasionally(very rarely) a different kind of shrimp may be mixed in with ghost shrimp. When young the differences are almost unnoticable, but as they mature there are some that grow to several inches long and eat full can grown tiger barbs. There are some that can even grow to a foot long. So if you get a ghost shrimp that gets over 2 inches you may want to consider getting rid of it.

Yes, Ghost shrimp are fish friendly, but some fish may try to eat the ghost shrimp such as goldfish.

The more important question is, are your fish ghost-shrimp friendly?
Not knowing what kind of fish you have, you should ask the store where you got them.

More or less... they will eat tiny fish like fry, they grab them as they swim by, but they are fine other fish that are big enough (anything tetra-sized is fine).
As with all fish / animals, they can be expected to eat whatever they can catch and will fit in their mouths. And vice versa.
