i HATE them! every day people come up with new technology, like i pods and new cell phones, cant they come up with some kind of robot or something that they can use instead of poor defenceless animals?? i have a wonderful guinea pig comet and he has inspired me to take action and help his little rodent pals. millions of animals are being murdered each year so people can have shampoo and perfumes that smell good. it is useless and cruel!!! small animal skin is alot more frail than that of humans so they suffer from horrible skin, blindness, and lack of nutrition. they are cooped up in tiny cages all day and when they are to sick to be tested on any longer, they are killed. it is a hidden battle that they have to go through everyday behind the eyes of people who are not informed. if we all try, we can help those animals and make my guinea pig, comet, proud!

They are not necessary anymore. I think it was Scientific American (I could be wrong) who did a study on it & found out that all of the results they had from animals need not be repeated & tests using computers & chemicals were more effective since animal physiology & human is different. The ones who use rabbits, etc for cosmetics are just evil.

I think the people doing the testing should be the next test subjects. There is no reason to test anything on an animal, unless it's made for animals. If you have a great idea, test it on yourself. More Christian self righteousness and hypocricy. Thinking they're better than animals, but they don't believe in science.

I agree!!!!! After all, even primates and monkeys are hugely different from humans, medically. Each year, many animal testing-approved drugs are removed from the shelves of pharmacies due to unseen side effects on the human customers. For example, a drug called Milrinon was removed because it caused an increased mortality rate in humans.

I'm very against them! They suck and they hurt and kill innocent animals that did nothing.. I can't even eat animals.. So what those people do is so WRONG! I think we should do it to them and tell us if they like it.. I HATE to think about a majority of animals that people give away are brought to labs! That just sickening and those people who bring animals there and the people who do those test are consider pathetic in my book!
