As a breastfeeding mother for 1 year I found that if your nipples are going to become darker it will happen during pregnancy and not get any darker once you breastfeed. Also your breasts can get 1 or 2 cup sizes bigger when you breastfeed and to prevent sagging you should always wear a good support bra 24/7 (minus in the shower of course)

Breastfeeding has been known to help stop mastititis of milk glands, that can cause nodule that can later surgically have to be removed. The only bad parts I really found are leakage or soreness. Everything has it's ups & downs. It's really your decision. Check with your proper resources, medical. Word of mouth is not a good way to find what's right for you. Some things happen because of what the person's nature is ect. As much as I wanted to breast feed, I was not able to produce rich enough milk.

After breastfeeding I noticed my breast were smaller. I was told by a nurse, in a joking way that they "suck the fat right out of you". But all the changes are secondary to what's important. The nutrition and the bonding with your baby. If you really want to breastfeed, you won't care about sagging breasts.

No, your nipples do not change colors from breastfeeding, although your areola can darken during pregnancy. The same goes for breasts sagging, people often blame this on nursing, but the increased size of your breasts during pregnancy cause the sagging, not breastfeeding.

Those things could be caused by pregnancy. Your body is going to be different after pregnancy no matter if you breastfeed or not. My breasts got HUGE during pregnancy and I did breastfeed for 7 months. It's a wonderful thing to be able to feed a child and I would not give that up, even for the perkiests boobs on the planet. My boobs went back to the size they were pre-pregnancy (just like the rest of me), but they are a little saggier. I'm 35, it was probably going to happen sooner or later!

All the damage done to mine was over from the growth they incurred during the pregnancy. I do notice a slight decrease in sensitivity though. I nursed for a total of 4 and a half years. Other than the initial pregnant stretching I think I still have great boobs. They're still natural DD's so DH is happy too.

I'm not sure if the feeding is what takes the firmness out of them or if it's just all the extra weight for the last few months, but they often do change in shape.

The best part, however, is that breastfeeding makes you lose the extra flab in your tummy faster. It speeds your metabolism (for some women) and helps you lose the pregnancy weight quicker.

The nipple color only changes while you're breastfeeding but should change back to normal when breast feeding stops or even before you stop. You lose breast density when you breast feed, which will cause your breasts to droop/sag a little bit.

My breasts turned really mushy after I stoped breastfeeding. I was 21 and breastfeed for 9 months. They sagged a little bit but mostly they were really squishy!

After you stop, they deflate like balloons. (Unless you only breastfeed for a short time.) But, my friend who didn't breastfeed said after her son was born hers looked bad. I loved my breasts before and now they are gross, BUT I would do it all again and then some for my son. He was only sick once when I breast fed him. It is TOTALLY worth it. Plus, it is more conveinent and costs you nothing. Formula costs about $3 a day if you use the cheap stuff. Some women lose weight from it AND some women don't get a period when they do it. Be warned, it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be, and it can sometimes hurt, but I STILL say it is worth it.
