I just finished some really good books. Two would be by Tami Hoag. First one is Night Sins. Its about a young boy is kidnapped in a small Minnesota town. It is gripping right from the begining. If you like it you would fell compeled to read the sequal Guilty as Sin. if crime isn't up your alley than i would recomend the very strange book Running With Scissorsby Augusten Burroughs. It about his childhood growing up with a overly dramatic poet for a mother, an alcohlic dad, ends up being adopted by his moms psychiatrist and living with his extremely strange family. It a very funny and easy read and its all ture which makes it even stranger!

Well, if you enjoy love stories, you can read any book by Nicholas Sparks, they are quite good and beautiful, for example try "The Notebook", or "A walk to remember" or "The wedding".
Another one I enjoyed and that's short and easy to read is "The Perfume", by Patrick Suskind, this one is very good, suspense.
One of my favorites is "The Pillars of the Earth", Ken Follet. I just love that novel so much that I have to recommend it to everybody, it's kind of historical (just in some facts and the settings but it has nothing boring), love, suspense, it has everything it's needed to keep you hooked to it till the end!!!
I'm 16 and I loved it!!!
Happy New Year

For a 17-year-old girl, I recommend Nicholas Sparks. I also recommend "Losing Joe's Place" by Gordon Korman, the greatest book you've probably never heard of.

If you want an easy read go for Dan Brown books, but if you're up for more of a challenge go for The Shadow of the Wind. Hope that helps...

"Reign of the rat" is a good book. A very easy read, exciting drama about leprosy and the jungle. With all the talk about pandemics, this fits the current news.

If you like fantasy-fiction stories, I suggest you read The Saga Of Darren Shan. It is a triology that contains 12 books.

Orson Scott Card was a good recommendation.
You might like Stephen King's "The Stand" or "Insomnia." Both are excellent.

The Giver, or any Weetzie Bat books, I'll have to check my rather small library and get back to you on that.
