I have come to find that all auto repairs are in the range of $300-$800, unless you're talking about major engine or tranny problems. I would say this fuel pump is going to run you about $250-$300. It shouldn't since it's not that hard of a thing to to fix, but they'll get ya, they always do.
If you've got a couple hours, try 3 or 4 shops situated in a close area and see what they all tell ya. If 3 tell ya $250 and the 4th tells ya $200, then boom, you save $50 bucks. This is assuming your car runs at all.
I'm not saying the guy above me is a schister or anything but can't you just tell he's a mechanic? Instead of saying the price, he has to go into the description of what it's going to take to fix it, but dumbed down for the lamen. Argh, mechanics.
One last piece of advice; if you ever find a mechanic who you absolutely trust, don't ever let that relationship die.

The gas pump is a fixed displacement type and can't be adjusted. there's a tension regulator interior the gas gadget that regulated the gas tension, back this in not adjustable yet can be replaced if suspected. If the vehicle is working lean then there's a call for for the injectors to be wiped sparkling as over the years they get blocked up. Take the vehicle right down to a diesel professional and enable them to envision it.

i own a repair shop,and this job usually runs around 300 bucks for these,,the unit is made together on these ones ,and has to be replaced as a whole unit ,but that's a good price for that job,,it takes a while to do it,,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years.

call Ford and ask...or any car parts store can tell you the price of the pump, but not how much it will cost to install, unless you do it yourself.

the average price that you should be getting is around $270-$300...always get more than one est.
