It also doesn't come equipped with a vibrate function, but it starts vibrating out of the blue. The power button doesn't help any, either - it just makes it go faster. Any ideas why???

Yes, It would be a Good Idea to return the swing but Before I got another one I'd check out a few websites and make sure that It hasn't been recalled.

Sounds like a Major Recall just waiting to happen.

Hope that helps.

I would take it bake to the store or call the manufacturer. I would also check some recall/safety websites on recommendations for the next one and to see if this one has been recalled. That would be creepy but could also be dangerous to the baby. Who knows what other freaky things it might decide to do with you baby safely strapped tightly into the seat!

You should tell your friend to return it too the store that she purchased it in. Obviously there is a problem with the swing. I have a swing for my son and it stops immediately after I press the off button...

a lot of those kind of this do malfunction. I had a bassinet that vibrates at random. I took it back to the store and they replaced it. I suggest your friend doing that.

Sounds like a major malfunction, or its possessed; either way I would get rid of it. Call the manufacturer and let them know about the problem...they will more that likely repair or replace it.

How can that be possible for it to keep doing it with no batteries in it. Take the swing back to the store and get another one.

Mine did that when the batteries were going dead. I know that doesn't make sense, but it is true.

Freaky! It's possessed!

It must have a wiring issue that is causing a malfunction.
