Ok i have a 1983 nissan 280zx . When i turn the switch to turn on the healights only the right one turns on. The dashboard lights wont come on either when i do trun the swicth on . Can somebody help me with this ?

Let's start from the basics:
Check the left light bulb.
The dashboard lights might be blow too.It's best you check the fuses first by using a testlamp.Probably 3 main reasons you are facing:
1)Blow bulbs
2)Blow fuses
3)Short cuircuit

Sounds like you need a left headlight and the inst panel dimmer control switch is in off position

The mulit function switch is bad this is the turn signal and wiper switch in the steering column

they had a fuse 4 each headlight try ur fuse panel lol

that old a car the wiring harness might be shot...I'd look into a new wiring harness..
