Look at the people that write/sing protest songs. Some of the music is really really good, but the message is many times sublimitive. You have to dig to find it and when you do, the meaning ruins the song. Some are exremely intolerable from the get go. The songs bring out the part of our culture that have no answers, just problems. Seems to me Christians are giving answers about our problems. Many just don't want to believe what they are doing is wrong. So the answers your getting concerning which is better, it would seem most of them are complainers with no answers.

I think protest songs, Christian Rock is ok, I mean of course listening to it for as long as my friend does, YES IT GETS ANNOYING, but I can usually tolerate it more than a "save the trees" song

Well, in my opinion, since people who sing protest songs have nothing better to do than complain, and people who sing Christian rock mostly praise God, I'd have to say that protest songs are worse.

protest songs.
Christian rock usually stays put on Christain radio stations. You can avoid those--they're usually low powered and at weird places on the dial.
Protest songs get heavy rotation on regular stations and DJ's think they are being socially aware by making us hear them.

by far Christian rock is the worst. protest songs are about current world issues that everyone can see whether you choose to or not, chritian rock is seggregated to those who are christian, protest is not seggregated to demoninations.
