Example .. I guess people in paris go to cafes a lot and talk and eat for hours. what do you think?

I Love it. I don't live in Paris, but I like to chat and enjoy my lunch too. I like to sit down and look at the scenery, and relax. And if I am with a good friend, it is better. Today everyone is always in a hurry, so it is nice to unwind once in a while.

No, it's not a waste of time! Everyone should do it, even if they only have a little time. We're social critters, so people are usually much happier, and sometimes more creative, the more they exchange ideas and discuss things with others. At least in Paris, and many European cities, people are a bit more aware of the political goings-ons, than here in the U.S. I think that makes for more lively discussion than say, soap operas or gossip.

I work at Starbucks. I think it is great when people can connect over coffee. That's why there is cafe's right? !
I do not think it is a waste of time. in fact it might just be the highlight of you or someone else's day..

It's actually really nice. To just sit there at a meal and have a conversation and not feel rushed by waiters. It's actually a European thing,it's only a waste of time if you have something to do,but I guess you would plan your day accordingly.

I think it is ok and not a waste of your time. Of course unless you have something else to do. But in today's society people are always in a rush and don't know how to slow down and enjoy themselves anymore. I think it is a good thing.

Try it you may even be more social.I think it is good;what if you meet the right person for that dream job or etc etc Meeting people is networking and enjoying people and meeting people is not a waste of time.

Anything that makes you happy isn't a waste of time. Socializing while having lunch is therapeutic for some.

It is very pleasureable, but not as much as it use to be. We would sit around and enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee, along with a cigarette after a meal and have social time talking to people. But now..........?

It is very nice. i have a hectic life, and I just love to unwind and relax with a cup of coffee, and chat with someone nice about anything. It is not a waste of time.
