I have NO experience playing the guitar. None!

Does anyone know where I can buy very good dvd lessons or something???

I;ve been playing for a few years now.

If you just want to play some stuff that you like, i suggest tabs...like www.ultimate-guitar.com

If you want theory and the whole shibang, i suggest lessons, or you could try amazon.com or something to find dvd lessons...

Guitar Center, it's the best store. Or Guitar World Magazine.

ooo i got a guitar for christmas too!!!!

i recommend going to Guitar Center, they probably have DVD lessons there

i learned guitar and bass from a combination of Guitar World, and playing along with the music i like
(i also played alto and bari sax in school, so that helped a little, too)

Get you a basic beginners book showing first to tune the guitar (440) and basic cords & simple tunes to get you started - unless you already know this.
Enjoy first simple songs first and then try stepping up to more harder songs. The main purpose is to ENJOY....
