Just wondering, since I am one. I don't want this to be an excuse for liberals to throw more trash at us, so please leave my question alone if that is your intention!

I support Republican ideas of self-determination and self-interest. Republicans rely on themselves, they understand a person's worth is determined by his own efforts. I disagree with liberal ideas of the re-distribuion of wealth. I believe handing out money conditions people to rely on other's charity and to not rely on their own efforts. You can give a man a fish, or you can teach him how to fish so he may eat the rest of his life...

Is being a republican like living in the home town of the winning team?

I wouldn't associate myself with either party, after all most politicians are just (scum sucking) lawyers in disguise.

I think the actors owe fewer favors and had to go through the school of hard knocks to get ahead acting.

You should vote on positions on issues, not along party lines. Does that make me a liberal?

And more than republican, you can click this avatar and go to my profile page, then, at the top, click the 360 page link. This will give you an idea of the freedom we guard.

Troubled indeed. There was once a quote, can't remember who said it, but the heart of it was " If you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart, if you're not a conservative when you're old, you have no brain."
I used to be really conservative when I was like 12 years old, I even listened to Rush Limbaugh. I snapped out of it and went in the complete opposite direction, and I hope you do too.
