my ipod is messed i cant get my songs to go on it i really need help please help me! I need a detailed awnser also please

Will the songs not go onto the ipod, or do they go onto it and not play? Both have happened to me.
If they won't go on it:
1. Make sure that you're dragging and dropping them onto the Ipod icon right.
2. Make sure you have the right format. Itunes only plays .mp3, .m4a and .m3u files, maybe a couple more. I've tried to put .wma and .asx files on it, and they won't go. If you downloaded a song, try to download it again, but this time add ".mp3" to the end of the name. That will solve your problem. If you can't download the song again, then you'll have to convert the file to .mp3, and that is a completely different issue.
I've also had songs go onto my ipod, but they go to 1 sec then close it. It was because I needed to update my Ipod software. So make sure your ipod is up-to-date!

Try this: Press the Menu Button and the Middle Button at the same time, hold them down for a few seconds and then try again.

well first make sure you are using itunes to transfer the music onto your ipod.. if that is so, make sure you have the most recent itunes version and the most recent ipod software on your ipod (you upgrade that through itunes). After that, it might be a problem with your ipod or USB cable.

Go to the i-Pod page and get the new player. (Make sure u have a backup copy of all ur songs.) The new player will make the songs download to ur i-Pod.
