Your not thinking outside the box here. You can throw an iPOD, eat it, wash it, date it, I think a better question is what can't you do with it.
Now legally, there are a few things you can't do, but between you and me, those are the best things. ;-)

1) Update photos onto iPod w/ your digital camera
2) Use credit card or gift card to buy music videos ($1.99 each), TV episodes ($1.99 each), full-length movies ($9.99-$14.99), audiobooks ($4.95 each), etc.
3) Buy podcasts for free
