Not really, a 6 yrs kid should see Happy Feet or Flushed Away or Charlotte's Web, those are great options

Not sure...it does have a plane crash scene that might be a little intense.
I just don't think a six year old would enjoy it, even if the crash scene didn't upset 'em. When I was six, I sure wouldn't have wanted to see it. I think you'd be better taking the kid to see "Night at the Museum".

The crash scene is very short. You don't see any gore. The plane shakes and it cuts to a different scene with people learning what happened on TV.
If the six-year-old has a good attention span (it's a pretty slow movie) and likes football, he should enjoy it.
