This is the best, hands down, because it has online videos of each crochet stitch. You can watch over and over, working along with it, until you feel comfortable with a stitch.

there are a lot of helpful websites, most show pictures only ... sometimes seeing a picture isn't as helpful as seeing a person or video clip of what to do. Coats and clark has a cd rom that I used for knitting and I thought it was great, I'm sure the crochet would be just as good, unfortunately I learned my stitches from my grandmother. I do know that A.C. Moore has people that come in and hang out in the yarn section to give free instruction .. good luck

I did a Yahoo search for"crochet instructions" and a slew of sites came up. Check each of them out until you find one that gives you the most help.

try..www.anniesattic.com

I think they sell instruction books. Also, Amazon.com or any other bookstore may have instruction books as well as most hobby shops...Michaels, Hobby Lobby ect.
