A log home in the mountains. It would be large enough for an art studio and a very large kitchen. On one side would be a greenhouse that would also have music piped into it and a chair and table where I could relax. There would also be a fireplace and large masterbedroom. A few guestrooms for people to use when they drop in as, since this is a dream, I would be entertaining people from all over the world and often there would be discussions on how to improve the world. My backyard would be the woods but I would also have a place where I would be able to feed the birds.
My home would be a place where people could relax and enjoy the moment. It would be a very quiet enviroment but full of life, both human and animal :-) Who knows? With all this surronding me and my friends around the world perhaps we would come up with some solutions to world problems? I love a good debate :-)

Ah... i'm actual a kind of human beings that HATES clutter. If I were progression a house and would have some thing i wanted, i will actual make confident there replaced into all forms of extremely cool, hidden, outfitted-in places for storage and company. i will actual have an indoor pool. yet not basically a undeniable pool, probably some thing all organic searching with waterfalls and flowers and rocks. or perchance interior with a retractable roof so at the same time as that's chilly i ought to close it up yet at the same time as its warmth open it. i'd have a house theater. A river or lake? If there befell to be one on the sources. i would like a lot of sources. possibly some horses so i'd choose someplace to residing house them. i'd also choose a huge gourmand kitchen with each little thing... each little thing you need to imagine. walk-in pantry, for sure. possibly a pair kitchens... one will be a important kitchen, one a secondary kitchen in a element of the residing house specified for unique. If I entertain, i love to save my residing area separate. i does not choose some thing horribly unique, in line with say... Oh, and that i love severe ceilings and exciting architectural helpful factors so i'd basically say have at it, layout me some thing and that i will inform you what i imagine. :)

I love Eeyore's answer. It is a great answer. Great idea. Keep family together, but not too close together.
I want a 3 bedroom log cabin , one room for computer, one for storage, and a nice front room so I can show my wolves and Indians off, and a nice big kitchen. Plus some greenhouses out back with berry bushes and other fruits and vegs. in it, plus fruit trees and nut trees(and not my family nut tree lol). A few little building offf to the side so I can use one for rock cutting, one with a kiln for pottery, one for an artist loft, one for crafts, etc. Plus a nice gazebo and a jacuzzi and swimming pool, plus an excercise room. Lots of flowers and grass(lawn).
I too would build homes for each of my family, my kids, brothers and sisters, Mom and some of my nieces and nephews, plus I would make sure each family had a nice car and enough money that they wouldn't have to worry about paying utilities.

I would buy the whole State of Texas & put A bunch of Smaller houses on it. Then I would move my whole family all 200 (Give or take) of my Parents/grandparents (Don't Ask) decendants. Sounds strange, but this way I could have them spread out through the whole of Texas, but wouldn't have to worry too much about them. They would be so close, but FAR FAR Away! LOL Then there would be me My house wouldn't be HUMONGOUS, but it would look like the BONANZA Ranch house! EXACTLY like it! Then there's my MOM/sister (heh heh) I would buy her the Whole of Green land Just for her wait & my brother & my dyke sister they would have to share Greenland. Now I am going to sit back & wait to see if my Mother/sister (heh heh) comes in here and sees my answer.

Rustic looking. Lots of wood. Nice fireplace. Not a huge place, but cozy and inviting. Overstuff couches, earth tones. Couple of bedrooms and a loft. Lots of windows and natural light. Wrap around driveway and on about 1 or 2 acres. No neighbors. I love my privacy.

It would be just like the house on Practical Magic -- and right in the same place too!
That old, Salem, Massachusetts, 3 story Cape Cod, with lots of big rooms, fire places and neat places to hide away. It would be full of built-in book shelves and cubbies, and a huge kitchen with lots of cabinets.
It would be on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and be within walking distance of Salem or a great town like that, and it would be full of the stuff that I have now -- trunks of neat old stuff, herbs, buttons, ribbons, pictures. Shelves of neat old books, antiques, old pictures and scarves and cushions.
Candles burning everywhere -- fairies and pixies and oddities...who knows what you might find around my house??

The house itself wouldn't have to be huge or anything special, but I would like it to be secluded and with a pool and some land around it and maybe a tennis court... preferably by a lake or the ocean.

To start, it would have a 72" flatscreen tv in living room. The rest would look like Bruce Wayne's mansion.. with the long dinner tables, medieval armor gallery, batcave garage, etc..
