The Iraqi Supreme Court upheld the death sentence imposed by a lower court on former dictator Saddam al-Husssein al-Tikriti. Under the new Iraqi penal code, this means that Saddam will be hung sometime in the next 30 days. This is the 60th execution carried out by the new Iraqi government in the last 2 years.

Do you support the execution of Saddam Hussein for his crimes against the Iraqi people?

The only thing I see this doing is making Hussein a martyr in the eyes of some extremely dangerous, violent people. Killing him is not the answer to this issue as it will solve nothing. I mean, so you hang the scraggly haired old dictator. And this solves the issue how? Talk about closing the barn door after the horse has escaped!

Sure...for crimes against the Iraqi people. His execution won't change my life one bit, but sure, whatever turns the world. I'd rather see the U.S. do more to improve our education system and work to resolve the issue with / help our homeless citizens.

Changes nothing in my life, but I'm sure that the millions who suffered under his regime will be glad to have that terror over and done with. Not that it will bring back the thousands he murdered but it'll give them a sense of closure.

The man deserves the death penalty and I'm glad he's getting it. But, people "in the know" are saying that his execution will more than likely spark more sectarian violence.

I'm so glad, I think I'm going to have a "hang saddam" party. It'll be a theme party. Drinks will be dispensed. There will be a "murderous dictator" lookalike contest.

No, I'm appalled and aghast. Two wrongs never make a right. No matter what he did, there is NEVER any justification for any group of human beings to take the life of any other human beings.

No, I don't support his execution. I think he should have to be imprisoned for the rest of his life instead.

I don't like the death penalty, I think it's too easy on the sinners that murder and do hellacious things to others.

He should be hung for the crime of genocide. Either that or put him in a cell for life with a 6'8", 325 lb father raper named "Bubba".

If that's the law they have, I support it; he should not be given any special treatment.
