There are surplus food programs all over the United States. You did not state what state you are living in, so it is hard to give you direct contacts. Contact the United Way, churches, community centers, schools, pantries, etc.
Their is a national program called SHARE, you pay X$ and you get three times that amount in food products. They are located through out the United States.

Yes. Large churches usually have food programs or pantrys. Also Salvation Army.
