i know this is weird, but i want some comments on my name. i have a super long name that i don't think is all so great. i just want people to be honest and tell me what they think of it. i have asked my friends, but they are all so nice and say that it is fine. i don't really like it, so people just call me by my nickname.....
my name is mellanielieagh, mella for short. just want to know what u people out there actually think about this name (it's pronounced mel-lane-i-elle-i-ah. thanks so much (i don't mind rude comments much but try to tell me in a not so hurtful way please because i have to live with it for the rest of my life, or at least until i can change it by myself - when my mom lets me that is...)

It sounds like an interesting compound of Melanie and Leigh; I don't like compound names much, but this one is kinda pretty. Go with your shortened version; melia sounds nice.

very cool ... is that irish? it may be on the long side and for legal purposes, it will be very handy, but i think it sounds beautiful as is and if you dont like it, well then use mella as you have been. most people dont like their names and would choose something else if they could. i think you will "grow into it" as you get older and learn more about the name. you may wish to research the meaning behind it. i know i would!
