PowerHockey is a competitive, fast paced hockey program for any disabled person male or female requiring the use of an electric (power) wheelchair in daily life. It uses the same rules as Ice Hockey (with some changes and adaptions) to supply those who use a electric wheelchair with the opportunity to play hockey and to be active in a competitive team setting.

The number of players to a specific team can range, but at any given time there are 6 players on the Court. There is usually one Head Coach and one Assistant Coach to dictate the movements of their individual team. The coach's can also be playing members of the team.

Positions:
* One Center
* One Goaltender
* Two Winger positons, Left and Right
* Two Defenceman positions, Left and Right

Changes:
> Instead of Ice, a Basketball Court is Used
> No Hockey puck is used, Instead the use of a Plastic ball is implemented.
> The Hockey stick that is used is made from entirely from plastic.
> Players with excessive limited range and movement may tape the stick to their wheelchair.
> Instead of the Goaltender freezing the puck, do to the limited movement on the goalies part the Official will blow the whistle when the ball is underneath the goaltenders electric chair and play will stop and a face off will commence.
