You need to consider what is best for your daughter. Are you able to provide a stable, loving home for a young teen? If you are still in contact with her, then she must have been older when she was adopted. If she still has a social worker then she can call the social worker to ask this question. Are there problems in the new home that can be worked out? This is a really complicated issue, and if she has been adopted already, then there are also the feelings of the new parents to consider. Is she not bonded with the new parents, or are their rules too strict? Does she think she would have more freedom at your house? If so, I would be careful! Young teens often think they are invincible and can survive anything they take on in life, and if she wants to come live with you just to avoid rules or responsibility, then you need to consider what is best for her. If it is best for her to stay in her present home, then you need to kindly work with her to make her stay there as pleasant and trouble-free as possible.

actually, I know this from experience.

I was adopted, live in Louisiana and left home when i was 17.

in Louisiana, unless things have changed in the last 6 years, you can leave home at 17 but you may not cross over the state lines without parents consent. Also, your parents can not kick you out of the house until you are 18 without getting in trouble.

But just in case the laws have changed, call the police station or the attorneys office tomm.

I guess it depends on why she wants to leave her adoptive home / why was she adopted / your ability to raise her...etc! It has nothing to do with her being adopted initially, but if she were taken from you and your rights were terminated you haven't a shot in hell...but if it was willingly without recommendations from the court, then you would have to prove that her adoptive parents are unfit...not that she just can't get the ipod that she wanted for Christmas! Good luck!

When she's 13 she can go and say who she wants to live with.I used to live in Louisiana before Hurricane Katrina and I lost touch with my friends, but my friend Becky was split between her parents and she said when your 13 you can choose.I'm not sure about adoption but it might be the same.Hope I helped.
