I think that you have to let the bad go for a healthy life each day when you get up say aloud I will not let bad memories be a part of my life today each time you start to go that way repeat that to yourself.
To many would be like 10

I have several from childhood and teen years. These seem to be the ones that hang on forever. I think one really bad memory is too many. Best of luck to you!

i'm holding onto alot from my childhood.
Too many is when it consumes your life and you acn't thikn of anything else but those bad memories. Then you need help. I have found that writing your memories down in detail brings them to the surface, and then burn the pages. That has always helped me.

Just one that happened when I was a kid. It was so horrible that I don't even want to go on about it here. In other words, it's a little bit personal.
I've since then forgave the person. As they say, sometimes you can forgive, sometimes you never forget.
Happy New Year

just some, cant really put a number on it. it's bad to hold on to many bad memories, its better to let them go, although some do teach you lessons & make you have expirience with life.
