Take a yoga class...its a great way to start......since you have had success with meditation in the past, it will be easy for you to re-learn this.

As a child you had more of the substances in your body that help you to relax. The more stressed you get, the more your body says to stop making these substances and the harder it is for you to let go of anxiety.
Melatonin is one of these substances, a hormone that is widely available as a sleep aide. I recommend that you take some melatonin (3mg, no more!) once or a couple of times, and sit in a dark room until the melatonin makes you feel somewhat sleepy. Don't go to sleep! But get into a state that is not your normal state of mind. When you are through, go to a light place and move around to nullify the effects of the melatonin. It doesn't work in too much light.

Sit in a comfortable position in a quiet area that is away from children, the tv, etc.
Putting on soothing music helps set the mood for meditation.
Also, lighting candles helps to set the right mood.
Close your eyes & try to view peaceful scenery.

Get in a dark room
put on some smooth tropical sounds, down low
allow a little breeze to come in thru window, if you want not necessary.
sit still and think on different thing such as a nice quiet trip to your dream place. releasing all parts of your body strating from you head to toes
relax

I love to listen to Steven Halpern's "Letting Go of Stress" CD. It is very calming and he walks you threw a guided meditation. All of his CDs are very good :)

people do this in many ways i just sit and relax try to let the day go . if you did it before tyou still do just maybe in diffrent way
