Do I need the hard drive that comes w/the more costly XBox 360 or can I get by getting the 299.99 model?

I am about to buy a Xbox 360 and there is the 399.99 model and the 299.99 model the hard drive is the big thing I think do you really need it or will I be fine getting the cheap model without the harddrive or should I spend the extra 100.oo and get the better model.....................................

You either need a memory card or a hard drive to save your games. It's up to you. Personally, I think the extra $100 is worth it. You get a hard drive and better video cables. I also believe you need a hard drive to play Xbox online.
