Hello , call a lactation specialist for expert advice. There is usually free telephone help available at the hospital you delivered at.
Breastfeeding is supply and demand so don't give in to the bottle. You must get the baby to nurse and Demand the supply so your body will produce. Hang in there and don't take it personally the baby will love to love the breast milk again.
Breastfeeding is a gift that last a lifetime!!!

If you have not been pumping or breast feeding for a while than you may need to begin pumping to build up your milk supply before switching him back to the breast. Breast milk production will increase the more your baby nurses or the more you pump. When you are sure your milk is coming in, begin offering your baby the breast whenever he is hungry. The more he sucks, the more milk your body will produce. It may take a few days, but only offer him the breast and not the bottle. Sucking milk from a bottle is much easier than nursing and he may balk at first at how hard he has to work to get any milk from your breast. Make nursing time calm and pleasant. Prepare a basket with anything you might need during nursing, a pad of paper and a pen, a burp cloth, the phone, extra nursing pads. Sip a glass of water while breast feeding. Be persistent and he will switch from bottle to breast.

It matters if ur son is passed breast feeding age or not, if he is, DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. But, if still an infant, u can try lessening the bottle, and start going to half and half, I dont mean half and half for the coffee, but half breast milk, and half bottle, just keeping on going like that, less bottle and more breast milk, until he only relies on ur breast.

What you need to do is pump and pump before you begin to think about putting him to breast again. It will be difficult but not impossible. Pump to get your milk to come in larger amounts. Once that has been accomplished wait until your baby is hungry before putting him to breast. If he refuses wait a little longer then try again. Good luck.

unfortunately... if your milk supply is diminished you may never get the baby to be able to nurse from the breast. But if you have been pumping and still have a good milk supply then i would do it just as if you were weaning from breast to bottle.... very slowly and gradually... offer the breast quite often and first but dont force because then it can just become a frantic time for all. Good luck!!!!!

Hmmm...perhaps you could try starting him with a bottle, then pulling the old "bait and switch" on him right in the middle of dinner.
