You have to do 2 things: (1) do the best you can (2) realize that it is beoynd your control what exactly HE will think in his head.

Of course you would like to hear a recipe that would be guaranteed to work. We all do. But when you have ingredients like other people's opinion it can't always be possible to predict the outcome of every situation, of every audition.

Just tell yourslef - you have a dream and you know what you want. Be very passionate about your dream. Eventually you will make it come true.

Also realize - you want to become an actress, that means a lot of auditions. You will gain experince with every audition you go through. So in any case, no matter what the result is, you will gain some experience from it. Good luck.

Hi:

It might be difficult for you, but have some confidence in yourself and try not to worry about what the director will think. Probably, as you get older, this will come a little more naturally. Try to be your normal self as much as possible, and hopefully that will be well received.

To give myself confidence, I usually imagine a muse or angel is tenderly whispering encouragement in my ear, and that sort of helps me to feel better, and maybe that visualization will help you too. Many people throughout history have actually felt this way, and why not you too.

Also, if your audition doesn't go well, you will always have other chances in the future and everyone has to deal with rejection. For any person who has achieved a level of success in any field, I bet they have many stories of failure.

I hope this helps you, and I truly hope you do very well! Have fun!

It's normal to be nervous before any audition. Anyone who says they are not nervous is either lying or they don't take the job seriously. What makes a for good audition is being prepared and being able to focus that nervous energy into constructive energy - the creative and vivacious energy that directors look for in aspiring actresses. Kaitlin, be comfortable, be yourself, be natural. Everybody who gets into acting has to go through this kind of thing and they are always nervous. What is most important is that you do not try to be what somebody wants you to be, but be yourself. Think of yourself as a tree with roots planted deep into the earth - a tree is strong, stands strong, and doesn't easily bend. One of the hardest things you can face in acting is being rejected and believe me, it happens to everyone, so don't worry. And before you meet the director, take a deep breath, and believe you can do it.

The fact that he called you for an audition is good news, remember the part that you are auditioning for! it may not be the lead but ..... well .... you are IN THE SHOW! and we all start somewhere. Is okay to be nerves, that is normal, but try to control your breathing it will help to control and project your voice and guess what it also helps you relax and not hyperventilate!
break a leg!

Don't go alone, there are Lot's of creeps out there! most of all have fun and be safe.

i know this has nothing to do with acting, but that sounds like how i am when i get a job. i worry that my boss will hate me and fire me. but the only thing you can do is just be yourself. im sure your a sweet person and if you love acting and being an actress, the director will see this and probably love you. just give your all, im sure youll do fine.

Did he ask to meet you before the audition? Considering your age, that would be very unprofessional, not to mention creepy. Take a parent with you to ANY meeting with a potential casting director, agent, whatever.

Well, ,,, Act!
Sure he seems really important, but you've gotta act like he's just another person. Totally be yourself. Say what you gotta say, then pee your pants afterwords. Be no more frightened of him than you would be of a counselor asking you what classes you would like to be taking, because it's really about the same thing.

Break a leg kiddo!

don't listen to YourDream, being nervous is perfectly natural. Just be polite and friendly and enthusiastic.
