I have abit A17 motherboard. for my understanding it will take 4 memory sticks DIMM/dual channel DDR 400,333 and or 266Mhz. I have 4- 266mhz instaled and I want to replace it with 2-2 gb 400mhz. If any one of you have done that please tell me how it is working. I am intaling a 800mhz 3.0 cpu so it is all speed.

It will support up to 4GB of DDR400 RAM. So, you should be able to use 2-2GB sticks of DDR400 RAM on this mobo.

you may have to use specific slots(channels) for the two new sticks.
read your manual, it will tell you how to configure the RAM for optimal performance
