This is a question we women ask ourselves all the time. Penis size does not matter to us, so why are guys so hung up on it. It's really boring. As long as it's someplace in the normal range - say 2-8 inches, it's fine, and better on the small side than too large for sexual satisfaction. We don't want guys to have monster tools!

It's considered more masculine. The same reason most women crave to have larger breasts. It makes them feel more feminine.
Having a large "thing" isn't the only key to a woman's satisfaction, but it doesn't hurt. (excuse the pun)

no it doesn't depend on the size of penis.
but the penis is a symbol for manhood and source of proud to the man, so most men try to increase their penises to have more confident more proud, specially in front of woman who like big penis to see and play with
