Since the Titanic disaster an International Ice Patrol has been set up to monitor and if nescessary destroy large bergs in the shipping lanes. But sometimes growlers can go by undetected because of their small size above the surface of the water. But below the water they are sometimes 9 times the size you might assume. Small boats during the Alaskan Crab Fishing season get hit by ice bergs due to the strong winds and poor weather conditions. It;s believed that a growler was the cause of the Titanic accident. They found red paint matching the Titanic's side scratched onto it. But thats all I can give. Hope it helped!

This is the only pasenger liner that was 'unsinkable'
There are ships that hit icebergs all the time, they are hard to see and radar on the ships still can't detect them very well.
There are ships that are designed to break up ice flows and they are hit by ice bergs and suffer severe damage or sink. Not too many, the thing that killed the titanic is the fact that the underneath of the ship was split open by the berg. It may have survived if the side damage was all it took....

Every year during crab season off the coast of Alaska. Cruise Liners are more cautious and have the most updated electronics to prevent that from happening again.
