Umm, yes I think it's unfair but I think your parents realize how addicting video games can be. What you probably need to do is to show them that you can balance. Perhaps ask or 2 hours a week if you pick up extra chores and keep your grades up. show them you're responsible and im sure they'll be more than willing to accomadate you

I'm 17 now, not too much of a gamer nowadays. But when I was 13, my parents didn't put too many limits on anything I did, and I kept my grades up really high.
Yes, they are quite addicting even now for me (I don't play TOO much, but I do have PC games that take up a lot of my time), but you need to find a balance, like somebody else said. Everybody probably has their golden mean; one hour a week might be a good time for someone that takes a really long time to do homework. But, if you get done with your homework pretty quick (and it's all correct) and you end up spending 2-3 hours a day sitting around being bored, then you should probably ask for more gaming time.

not unfair at all. your parents are just making sure that you'll have your time to study. too much time on video games could ruin your grades. if you do great in school then you can reason with your parents and find a middle ground.

unfair yes but maybe if you can get strait A's you could convince them to give you more time. After all in one hour of play you can't even understand the storyline of a RPG or get in one race in a racing game.

If you're getting good marks it's probably because you have responsible parents who limit your video gaming, computer and tv time accordingly. If you want more time let them know what you're willing to do in exchange to earn it, such as more chores or responsibility. Then prove it.

I get good grades and I can play as much as I want as long as I keep the grades up. Yes one hour a week is retarded, your parents obviously do not realize that in one hour, all you have done is started up the game and watched the opening cutscene.

Yeah thats some harsh stuff. Maybe you parents think you have more to do in your life besides playing video games allday. Its too brighten your future. I suppose.
