Don't just survive, thrive. Make the most of it. Become involved in something to give you a reason to go even on your worst days. Know that there will be bad days but that there will be more good days. Minimum, do the work so people stay off your back. Sad to say but as long as you are passing, people will not stress over you. But strive to get good grades so you can go to the college you want and get out at least on time. (It never fails to amaze me that people who do not like high school purposely fail.)

Be yourself and make your own decisions.

There will be a lot of people telling you what you should do and think. There will be many situations doing something you really don't want to do be a solution. Stop and think. Is it good for me? Why is it good for me? Is it a good thing to do? What's the consequences for doing it, and NOT doing it. If everybody is doing it, does it make it right for me? If I have to do something I don't want to do, or don't think a good thing to do to join the group of people, is the group right for me?

It is a place you can really enjoy and make life long friends. It is also a place you can make a major mistake that will haunt you for rest of your life. (or lack there of...)

No matter what anyone says, you choose your own path. Try hard to make good grades. They don't have to be perfect but you should at least try to make something of yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that you're nothing because they are wrong. You're someone and you're special in your own way. Make good friends, good choices and if you've messed up, admit becuase you can't lie to yourself forever.
