I agree with the latter. Personally, I love Hooters and if there was one by me while I was in college I would have worked there! Whenever I go the servie has been fine, so its not as if they are just hired for their looks, though I am sure it helps. There is a big difference between wearing tiny shorts and having dollar bills dipped in your crotch!

I believe they are just trying to make a living. I think they are hot looking, however I believe women can make the same amount of money by not dressing that way. Men has a tendency to look at the appearance vs the personality in that situation. Women are usually view as sexual objects anyway and treated as such if they are dressed sexually provocative. I'm not saying what the hooter girls do is bad by any means, I am saying that their odds of men saying sexual remarks to them would be higher then if they were working at Dennys. So, why blame the women for the males pervert mind.

If I looked good in orange shorts and could make three or four hundred a night, I wouldn't be too embarrassed. They actually provide a harmless release for people who don't have many opportunities to interact with pretty young women.

Not really. Why should they be a embarrassment to women, most of us never been to Hooters, who cares. Are male strippers a embarrassment to Men? Same difference.

Some say if you've got it, flaunt it. Others yes may be just trying to make a living.
In either case, no one is holding them hostage there, and there are plenty of other jobs available in the hospitality industry.
