I recently bought a GORGEOUS Anne Klein long olive green tweed winter coat. It has two black rectangular material tags at the bottom of the left arm at the cuff. So, the one is labeled "100% Virgin Wool" and the other is labeled "Anne Klein COAT". The one is directly below the other. So... do I leave the tags on or do I take them off?? This is the awesome-est coat i've EVER had... just never seen any such thing. The "labels" are sewn in.. but not completely... just at one spot on each side and not enough to pull it off easily. Has anyone ever had a situation like this??? And really, what is the proper thing to do??

you are supposed to take the tags off. they should only be tacked in place with a little bit of thread. Just take either a small seam ripper found at a craft/sewing store or a very fine pair of scissors like you would trim your fingernails with and clip the threads. You aren't supposed to leave them there. All super nice brands usually show that type of tag so you can quickly identify what the product is like 100% cashmere or something like that.

take the tags off. they look stupid if you wear the coat with them on. snip the threads off with a pair of scissors.

If you don't like the tags, bring the coat back

its to advertise quickly what the brand name and material is when shoping/ buying
they are supposed to be snipped off by the buyer when you get it home

They come on any of your better clothing brands and suits, they are meant to be removed. They are sewn lightly to be easily removed.

I'd rip the tags off, and keep them if they have washing instructions.
