I see why you're a little confused! I had never heard of how I was 'measuring' with baby no 1 or 2!!! With this baby I have been told that I was measuring 2 weeks ahead for some time, finally I asked, what is up!?! - this scared me!! I couldn't stop thinking that I was going to have a HUGE baby. My Doc let me know that the measurement applies more to your personal weight gain and not the babies size - (some women are ALL baby and others have had too much McDonalds!) My baby is an average size (they had to take an ultrasound to find out for sure), my uterus is just a little big... Your ultrasound will be a huge relief!

Hi there. I don't blame you at all for being concerned. It sounds to me like you asked the doctor some good questions when you were there though. I really think that the best thing for you to do is to wait until you get the information from the Ultra Sound. Was the first one normal? Was the baby's heartbeat normal? Did they have any trouble finding it? (the heartbeat I mean). These are all things that I would ask you. I can imagine how scared you must be and probably imagining all the worst case scenarios. Everything can be scary when it is your first baby and I am not sure how much easier it gets with each baby! I just think that pregnancy is a time that we worry. It IS a scary time. It is really not until you hold your baby in your arms and know that everything is alright that you really quit worrying. I wish I could be more help to you or tell you something that would make you feel better but until they get that second Ultra Sound there is not much anyone can say. I have to say that no, I never had anything like this happen to me.
Good luck honey and I will be thinking of you and wishing you and your baby well. I hope your ultra sound is soon so you do not have to wait long for answers!
Blessings

An before ultrasound is in simple terms approximately consistently greater precise than a later one. they do no longer seem to be 'sloppy' at those unfastened clinics. in the event that they measured at approximately 8 weeks, this is precise plus or minus 5 days. At 20 weeks, this is plus or minus greater beneficial than 10 days. in case you had customary classes in simple terms before being pregnant, your LMP is in simple terms approximately consistently greater precise than the ultrasound till you miscarried and have been given pregnant the very next cycle. yet then, you would be a month off.

my dr's were always wrong about my measurements, and my due dates...matter of fact, they thought i was 9 months pregnant when i was really only 8, and my second daughter got induced 3 weeks early because she was big, and they thought she might get stuck...don't ask...lol
but you have the other problem, and maybe you're not as far along as they think you are. maybe your got your dates mixed up or something. but i'm sure it's nothing extreme, and maybe you're baby is just tiny.
