I am very impressed with the portland oregon area on how health awareness it is and on how many vegatarian resturants/grocery stores also have. But their aren't that many clothing/shoe stores who cater to vegetarians! Any suggestions on the names and locations of the stores?

I am specifically looking for shoes for my daughter. Black Skate shoes. We've tried walmart, kmart, payless, vans, among others. Every shoe she likes the style, she checks the label. It's always leather.
Thanks to those who have answered my question in a mature manner, and didn't stray from the subject.
And to those immature ones that felt the need to be insulting, read up on the subject of vegetarianism, your letting your ignorance show.

your most likely to find something online. good luck!

And to those that felt the need to be rude, megaburn asked a simple question.
Yes, fossil fuels are derived from plants and animals, but that was BEFORE humans, we didn't kill them for it. and for all you know megaburn doesn't even own a vehicle.

FYI more vegetarians can be feed per acre than meat eaters. simple biology.

I would check w/the stores, but now a days most clothes are synthetic and payless has mostly man made, which are also synthetic. Check the labels, that's the easiest way.

Google vegan clothing and shoes. They are all over the place. Please do not give money to PETA. They are a very corrupt organization. I am a vegetarian and animal advocate but I do not support PETA.

Plastic is a derivative of oil which is a fossil fuel, which is from dead animal and plant material. Oh, do you drive? guess where gas comes from, oh and asphalt for roads. Just a reality check.

Heck, Walmart shoes are never made of real leather. They're cheap. What's wrong with them?

I believe the shoes you seek are at a store called "Payless"...All the shoes are made of plastic. And they are very, very reasonably priced.
